Mixdesign's relationship with US Steel stemmed through their corporate PR team in Pittsburgh but was carried through with local pride. Located just miles from the industrial hub of the Midwest, mixdesign had the opportunity to develop print campaigns, internal and external community publications and communication pieces that showcased the steel giant's involvement and commitment to employees and the Northwest Indiana Community.
When water soluble film company, Monosol, invited us to the table to strengthen the look of their expanding and innovative company, mixdesign stepped up. Developing logo marks for their multiple products was the first of many steps toward their newly defined brand. Additionally, the mix team produced their corporate video, corporate interior architecture, design, website and print elements to name a few.
Pierogi Festival. Garage Mahal. The biggest 4th of July parade around. All held together by generations of hard work, good neighbors and a whole lot of Whiting pride. Mixdesign branded this Chicago suburb to effectively express that pride alongside showcasing their friendly spirit and lakeshore resources. Lunch at Hand Food Services first approached mixdesign to simply create a new website. However, after the brand audit stage, it was realized that there was more to meet the brand consumer's eye. The EAT Enterprise parent company was also brought to life followed by the newly named Inbox Catering and Sweet Dreamz Divisions of this Chicagoland Catering Enterprise. Watch for the growth of this already established food prep company.
Purdue University Student Union was looking for a new twist on a campus favorite. Pappy's sweet shop was a staple in the student union for over 70 years. But as the union services grew along with the new food and dining options on campus, Pappy needed to hold up next to the megabrands around it like Starbucks. Mixdesign was brought in to refresh the brand, redesign the interior as well as acquire and apply research that would improve the operational efficiencies as well. When Horseshoe Casino rebuilt its Chicagoland location, mixdesign was awarded the honor of designing and contracting the 6500+ square foot employee lounge. This lounge equipped with game room, lunch bar, prayer room and training center became an escape for their highly acclaimed casino staff and was an honor to complete.
Mixdesign has created interior solutions for over 20 Buffalo Wild Wings Franchise locations. With a strong sense of concern for corporate brand standards and the desire to bring the franchisee's excitement for local sports teams to life, mixdesign is able to find solutions that meet the needs of both. We understand rights, usage and royalty but also have the ability to bring a sense of local customization to the National corporate brand ideas. The Schilling Brothers lumber company has been a recognized leader in Chicagoland home building for over 65 years, long before the big box stores arrived. Mixdesign's job was to keep the essence of their family story and friendly, approachable service but give them the ability to elevate the brand to compete in the bold Chicagoland Builder's market. After the rebrand, we developed their exterior remodel ideas, website, truck designs, outdoor boards and division logos before handing the tools back to their internal marketing team.
The University of Akron looked to mixdesign to help name, brand, create menus, packaging and all the launching elements to their new burger concept. This project might go down as one of our fastest rebrands, but we were up to the challenge. Just four weeks after commencement, new fall students arrived with a greeting from the quickly established and proud "Ohio Burger Company" - Go Roos!
Marketing and Seasonal Rollout of the Chicagoland growing franchise, Meatheads has been exciting and Full-Filling. It's not hard to help build awareness and recognition for a brand as clean, fresh and simple as theirs. But mix has had the thrill of creating the ongoing brand elements, promotions, web work and new store rollout elements for this fast growing carnivorous brand.
This brand became family, so it's truly near and dear. When founder and former Pro-Football star Jared Tomich came to mixdesign to have us name and brand his new fitness concept, he had no idea what was in-store. The mix team developed the name, look, web and interior to be a fun, approachable, family fitness center. Since that first meeting in 2007, Fuel Fitness is now six locations strong and the former client now has mixdesign as a permanent partner (he married our owner two years after Fuel was born). Now our whole team has to work out together... That's one way to embrace the brand!
